Xpand Rally is a rally racing game developed by Techland for Microsoft Windows. The game focuses primarily on realistic graphics as well as physics. It contains 60 tracks where players can drive against 120 different rally drivers.

Xpand Rally Xtreme contains similar content to the original Xpand Rally. In-game, apart from well-known rally cars, gamers find GT vehicles, DTR group buggies, and off-road 4x4 cars and Monster Trucks vehicle groups. The game also presents about 40 tracks in typical SS contests, off-road cross-country rides, and track races against challenging opponents.{{citation

For most gamers interested in the world of racing, specifically rally driving, there is not many quality titles out there to choose from. For years the highly acclaimed Colin McRae franchise has topped the billing with a few others dotted around the place. Some may point straight to the Sega Rally games as direct competition, yet Sega Rally has always been much more of an arcade game, rather than the more simulation based experience of those other previously alluded to titles. Seeing a potential gap in the market, developer Techland have stepped into the void to give Codemasters some much needed competition. But, in the face of Colin McRae and the huge market share it possesses, can Xpand Rally Xtreme truly have an impact It would certainly seem fair to say that XRX has the potential to give Codemasters more than food for thought.

Graphically speaking, XRX measures up fairly well against many current games in the rally genre. To start with, the presentation of the menus is clear, crisp and easy to understand. These graphics will not blow your mind, but they do the job well and surely menu graphics do not constitute a good game. Rather it is within the game itself that, and rightly so, the graphical qualities of XRX will be examined.

Poland, August, 21, 2006; Techland would like to announce that they have today released the first gameplay movie to showcase their latest rally game, Xpand Rally Xtreme. This is the first installment of a series to enable gamers to see what Xpand Rally Xtreme has to offer, focusing upon the newly-designed rallytrack geometry.

"We have redefined the whole concept of gravel, mud and sand in the new Xpand Rally Xtreme " - said Adrian Ciszewski, Xpand Rally Xtreme Project Manager at Techland. "Ruts, potholes, jumps and debris on the road will enhance the experience of your extreme rally driving on any given course. These elements are not in the game just for show either, they have been implemented to enhance your driving experience and gameplay quality. Xpand Rally Xtreme 's new complex car modeling and simulation systems constantly track irregularities in the road surfaces, allowing for an extremely precise suspension simulation.
